When aluminum is the right call
Sometimes You Want a Boundary, Not a Wall
A solid fence around a pool or a landscaped yard blocks the thing you spent money to look at. It can also make a small lot feel a lot smaller.
Aluminum gives you a real barrier that you can see straight through. It holds a pool enclosure to code, keeps the dog in, marks the property line, and disappears visually in a way wood and vinyl never do.

Your options
Aluminum Fence Styles We Install Across the Illinois Valley
Picket spacing, rail count and top style are the three decisions, and pool code affects all three.
- Flat Top PanelsClean horizontal rail with no spear tips. The most common choice for a pool surround and for front yard boundaries.
- Spear TopPickets that extend above the top rail. More traditional look and a stronger deterrent on a perimeter run.
- Pool Code PanelsNarrower picket spacing and specific rail positions so the panel meets barrier requirements for a pool enclosure.
- Three Rail Heavy DutyAn extra horizontal rail for taller runs and longer spans, so the panel does not flex in a crosswind.
- Self Closing GatesGates with self closing hinges and a latch height that satisfies pool barrier rules.
- Decorative SteelHeavier than aluminum with a more ornamental profile. Worth looking at where the fence is a feature rather than a boundary.
Why aluminum
It Will Not Rust, Even Where the Sprinkler Hits
Wrought iron looks the part and then bleeds rust down a concrete patio within a few seasons. Aluminum does not corrode at all, so the powder coated finish is still the finish ten years later.
- No rust and no repainting. Powder coating is baked on, not brushed on, so it does not chip and lift.
- You keep the view. The fence is there when you look for it and gone when you are looking past it.
- Panels rack to the slope. Aluminum follows a grade change without stepping down and leaving gaps.

The plan
How an Aluminum Fence Install Actually Runs
Aluminum panels are ordered to length, so the measuring step carries more weight than usual.
Measure and Decide the Style
We walk the run, settle on height, picket spacing and whether it needs to meet pool barrier code, then price it.
Order the Panels to Length
Aluminum comes made to the run rather than cut on site, so measurements get checked twice before anything is ordered.
Set Posts, Then Rack the Panels
Posts go in below the frost line. Panels rack to follow the grade so the bottom rail stays parallel to the ground.
Hang Gates and Check the Latch
Self closing hinges get set, latch height gets checked against code, and we walk the finished line with you.
Secure the Pool Now. Pay Over Time.
A pool enclosure is not optional once the pool is in. 0% financing means the fence does not have to wait for next season.

Common questions
Aluminum Fence Questions from LaSalle County Homeowners
Does an aluminum fence meet pool code?
It can, and that is what most of our aluminum work is for. Pool barriers have rules about picket spacing, rail positions, gate self closing and latch height. We build to those rules and tell you which ones apply to your setup.
Aluminum or wrought iron?
Aluminum, in almost every case. Iron is heavier and more traditional, but it rusts and needs repainting. Aluminum gives you the same look with none of the maintenance.
How much does an aluminum fence cost?
More per foot than chain link, usually less than a comparable run of ornamental steel. Height, picket spacing and gate count drive the number.
What colors are available?
Black is the most common by a long way. Bronze and white are also available. The finish is powder coated, so it does not fade like paint.
Will it hold a dog?
Yes, with the right picket spacing. A small dog needs narrower gaps than the standard panel, so tell us the breed and we will spec it accordingly.
What about a sloped yard?
Aluminum racks, meaning the panel flexes into a parallelogram to follow the grade. No stepping down and no gaps underneath.
